Teachers, save “Nonstandard measurement” to assign it to your class.

You will need the Pic Collage app and some items you can find at home. 1. First, you will need 4 items found around the house that you can measure. Look in your kitchen pantry or even your room. 2. Next, decide what unit of measurement you will use. Remember, they must be the same units! You can measure using pennies, macaronis, paper clips, or even a marker! Pick one! 3. Take a picture of each item showing the units of measurement right next to it. For example, I used pennies to measure items. I lined up the pennies next to each thing I measured. 4. After you have taken all 4 pictures, go to the Pic Collage app and click GET STARTED. 5. Tap on your 4 pictures. You can pick different backgrounds if you like. 6. Then, use the TEXT or DOODLE feature to write how many units long your items are. 7. When you are done, tap the green check mark and SAVE TO LIBRARY. 8. Come back to Seesaw and load the picture on this page.
