We are doing an activity about the long sounds of vowels. 1. Click on "Add Response" add 2. On the first page follow the instructions on the page. 3. Click on the second page and follow the instructions there. 4. Press the check check tick when finished.

Version 1.1 - Separated long and short vowel sounds and simplified activity. These activities support the introduction of the Science of Reading/SOR/Structured Literacy/Phonics. Pre-knowledge: How to clap syllables. That pupils have had a lesson pre-teaching the sound/sound blend as these activities are reinforcing activities to cement knowledge and skills. WALTS. Writing and recording to show how well we have learned our sounds in each activity. 1. Demonstrate how to form the letter. Pupils write over first. Last line is for them to have a go at free forming the letters. 1A Demonstrate how to record a video with the sounds and letters explaining their learning. You might choose to do this as a whole class activity at first and then they record and do the same. See the example here on the slideshow below. 2. Show how to do the second activity page. 2A Show how to do the EXTRA syllables activity. 2B Show how to do the recording on that page. ANOTHER extra activity could be to sort the images into two different sets.
