How are you feeling today? Thinking about what you’re feeling and why is very helpful. It helps you identify what you’re feeling and ask for help when you need it. Let’s talk about our feelings! 1. Click Add Response. 2. Use the pen to circle how you’re feeling. 3. Click the mic to explain your choice. 4. Click the green check to add to your journal.
Giving students opportunities to think about, identify, and explain their feelings helps them develop self-awareness and emotional processing skills. It also gives you a window into each child’s emotional state, so you can provide support where needed. How to use this activity: - Assign this activity each morning, and students can complete it as part of their morning routine. - Focus attention on students who may need additional support: If a student circles a negative emotion, listen to their response, and provide appropriate supports.
