Student Instructions

To be completed by Friday, Jan. 22nd. 1. Press the green add button to begin the activity. 2. Click the link on slide 1 and listen to the story, "Shadows" by Caroline B. Otto. Listen to how shadows can be different shapes by moving the flashlight. 3. With your flashlight or torch demonstrate what happens when an object blocks the path of the light. Use the photo to take a picture and upload to the block on the right. The use the mic button and record what you observed. 4. On slide 3, create a "short" shadow using a flashlight and a Lego person or another small figurine. Take a photo using the photo and upload to this slide. 5. On slide 4, create a "long" shadow using a flashlight and a Lego person or another small figurine. Take a photo using the photo and upload to this slide. 6. On slide 5, create an "almost invisible" shadow using a flashlight and a Lego person or another small figurine. Take a photo using the photo and upload to this slide. 7. When you are finished, please the check button and upload to your Seesaw journal.
