Student Instructions

Hi Kestrels, In today's English lesson we will be learning about and using prepositions. A preposition is a word that tells you where or when something is in relation to something else. Examples of prepositions include words like after, before, on, under, inside and outside. After walking for miles she rested on a hill. In this sentence 'after' tells you when she rested and 'on' tells you where she rested. Watch the cartoon on the following link, all about prepositions, then take the quiz at the bottom of the page. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zwwp8mn/articles/zw38srd YOUR TASK! Once you have done that I would like you to look at the examples I have attached to this activity and write me some sentences about what you can see in the stone age picture INCLUDING A PREPOSITION IN EACH ONE. Imagine you are the stone age person standing on the edge of the cliff. I expect you to write me at least 4 sentences, using your best handwriting and spelling. Once you have done that, upload your writing as a response to this activity. Good luck! 👍
