Student Instructions

If we weigh something we can find its mass. Use unifix cubes on the other side of the balance scale to see how much an object weighs (Its mass) 1. Press the add button INSIDE THIS activity 2. Make sure the scales are balanced. 3. Choose something that is not too heavy to weigh and put it in one side of the scales. 4. Add unifix cubes to the other side until the scales are balanced. 5. Take a photo of the whole thing. 6. Count up the unifix cubes. 7. Use the mic label or drawing to write how much it weighed (Eg Its mass was the same as 20 unifix cubes) 8. mic Record what happened. Remember to use the technical words WEIGHED, MASS, SCALES and UNIFIX CUBES. 9. Use the addpage to investigate some other items and record your findings 10. Tap the check to upload your work.

This activity can be used in small groups or pairs, with only one Ipad, with students tapping the three dots and EDIT PEOPLE, and editing people in their group.
