Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This activity is based on doing independent reading beforehand. I have mentioned Raz Kids, but can be applied to any online reading source or at-home books. On page 2, I have a focus question for students that asks them to think about what they liked about the story. This question and prompt can be changed out for any target you might have for your students. This has been modified for students who struggle with writing/spelling. Students can choose to either draw or write their answers. Images/Clipart sourced from Google
