Student Instructions

1. Write your own “I am” sentence using the SeeSaw Text Tool. Remember to start your sentence with a capital letter, add spaces between each word, and add an ending mark that fits your sentence. 2. Illustrate your sentence by drawing a picture below it. Use the SeeSaw Writing Tool (featuring color and line width options) to create your illustration. If you make a mistake, use the SeeSaw Eraser Tool. 3. Finally, post your finished page into your SeeSaw Portfolio. Your teacher will add your page to the Class Book. All published class books can be found in the Class Browsing Box found in our Classroom Library.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This is the first Predictable Chart Sentence we use in Kindergarten. Students use the “I am” sentence stem to become familiar with basic high frequency words in the English Language. Kindergarten students are responsible for reading 39 High Frequency Words (Popcorn Words), by the end of the year.
