Native foods are the plants and animals that have been eaten by Indigenous people for thousands of years. These foods grow naturally in different parts of the world and are an important part of local cultures and traditions. In Australia, some native foods include bush tucker like kangaroo, wattleseed, and bush tomatoes. Learning about native foods helps us understand the environment, history, and the ways people have used nature for food and medicine.
