Future Foods - Native Foods Learning Objectives 🔴To identify the Country we are on, and the foods native to the local environment Learning OutcomeS ⚫Identify Indigenous place names 🟡Understand the local environment 🟠Name and identify local native flora and fauna seesaw Native foods are the plants and animals that have been eaten by Indigenous people for thousands of years. These foods grow naturally in different parts of the world and are an important part of local cultures and traditions. In Australia, some native foods include bush tucker like kangaroo, wattleseed, and bush tomatoes. Learning about native foods helps us understand the environment, history, and the ways people have used nature for food and medicine. Throughout this unit, we will explore different native foods, how they are used, and why they are important today! Activity add Reference sites are on page 1, 2 and 3. You will need to refer to these pages as you progress through the activity. 👀Research Page :4 - Locate your area and identify your Local Indigenous Group. Take a photo of the location and upload. Do some of your own research to see what else you can find out about your local Indigenous Group. Page :5 & 6 - Research two [2] different Indigenous foods and their use and benefits. Present your finding. Page :7 & 8 - Research Modern Indigenous foods and recipes for them. Present your finding. Page 9 to 11 - Quiz When complete ✔
