Every sentence must contain a subject, and object and a verb. We can improve our sentences and make our writing more interesting for our readers by adding adjectives, adverbs and subordinate clauses into every sentence we write.
An adjective describes a noun. They help give us a clear picture of the person, place or thing.
An adverb adds more meaning to the verb. It might tell us how, when, where or for how long something happened.
A subordinate clause gives more information about the subject of the sentence.
