Student Instructions

This is a google slide show for teachers to share with students to foster growth mindset, encourage creative thinking, entertain multiple answers, support claims with evidence, practice speaking and listening skills, build routines around classroom signals (think time, turn and talk, ready signal, agree signal, using sentence stems, establishing class agreement on how we agree to speak and listen to each other. Our brains are STRONG and work differently Our words are POWERFUL. We use them to communicate our thinking to others. Our classmates are BRAVE to share their thinking so others can learn from them. We ALL are teachers. We are ALL learners. I like to use a couple visuals each day over a week's time so students have plenty of opportunities to practice. Please see followup Seesaw activities entitled Part 1: Speaking and Listening in Our Learning Community using "Which One Doesn't Belong?" Routine, "Which One Doesn't Belong? Donuts", "Which One Doesn't Belong: Dice" and make your own "Which One Doesn't Belong?"
