This activity uses a short animated video to introduce pronouns and simple interactive items to check understanding. Students first watch the video to hear characters use names and then pronouns (he, she, it, I, you, we, they). The drag-and-drop pages assess recognition and proper replacement of nouns with pronouns. The multimedia prompts let children demonstrate understanding in ways that suit their strengths (drawing, speaking, or video). Suggested prep: Ensure students can use Seesaw tools for voice, camera, and drawing. Prepare a quick modeling example: show a short sentence with a name and then change it to a sentence with a pronoun. For open-ended responses, a high-quality answer will (1) correctly name one specific thing learned from the video (for example, "He replaces Uncle John"), and (2) ask a clear question about pronouns (for example, "When do I use we?"). For the final creative prompt, a strong response will show a student using at least one correct pronoun in a short sentence while demonstrating via drawing, voice, or video (e.g., child draws two friends and says, "They are my friends."). Teachers will use a simple correct/incorrect check for open responses based on whether the student uses pronouns appropriately and communicates a clear idea.
