Word Endings: Add -ing to Verbs

Student Instructions

I can identify the meaning of words with the affixes -s, -ed, and -ing. 1. Tap the add button. Tap ▶ to watch the sample sentence. Tap the link to go to the next page. 2. For pages 2 to 6, tap ▶ at the top of each page to 👂 the first sentence read to you. Tap ▶ near the bottom of each page to 👂 the second sentence. Use the label tool and add a new word to the end of the second sentence. The new word should end with "ing." 3. Tap the mic on each page and read the bottom sentence. Make your recording small, and put it on the purple rectangle, like the sample. 4. When you have finished page 6, tap the check to turn in your work.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

Change sentences from "I can cook" to "She can cook." Verbs used for this activity only need ing added. There are no double consonants or "drop the e and add ing" verbs in this one.
