A verb is a word that describes an action word. Adding an inflectional ending creates a new word with a different meaning. Adding: • -ing means an action is happening now • -ed means an action already happened 1. add your activity to your journal 2. Using the label tool, complete the categories in the chart by using the correct endings. Remember when a base word has just one vowel followed by one consonant, you double the consonant and -ing or -ed. When a base word ends in e, you drop the e and add -ing or -ed. 3. Tap check to add your finished work to your journal.
