Student Instructions

We're going to take a look at Author's Purpose all week. Today we are going to read a book where the author's purpose is to entertain. Listen to my instructions before you begin. You will see the orange page to the left. On this page you will see three steps: 1, 2, 3. 1. Click on the first box, and you will watch a funny video on the different kinds of Author's Purpose. *New word* intent. Intent has the same meaning as purpose. 2. Next, click the video in the middle to listen to a story about a class pet for your entertainment. While you're listening, try to pay attention to how the author is telling you an entertaining story. What clues do you hear and see? 3. Last, come back to this activity on Seesaw and add. There is not a clickable link in the third box. You need to return to this activity on Seesaw to load your response page and do your work. When you're all finished, click check to post your work to your journal.
