Student Instructions

I Can Statements: I can identify the four types of sentences: declarative, imperative, interrogative and exclamatory. I can create a digital selfie with the four types of sentences. I can close read a personal narrative using a color-coded system to highlighter different types of sentences. Click add On page 1 you will watch a Brainpop video about the 4 types of sentences. Next, click on the Kahoot! link and practice. Click the matching link to reinforce what you have learned. On page 2 move drag and drop the types of sentence definitions to the correct box. Next, move the example sentences to match, change the color of the text box to match the definition color. On page 3: You will read this short narrative. Then, using the highlighter tool you will highlight sentences that match each type of sentence according to the color code listed on the page. On page 4: Drag and drop move the sentence types to match each sentence with picture. On page 5: It's your turn! You will create sentences using the label or pen tool in the dialogue clouds. Take a selfie to match the type of sentence. (Facial expressions and tone of voice can help when identifying types of sentences.) Click the green check when you are finished.
