Informational Writing: Step 5 Write a Conclusion Sentence

Click on the add response. Re watch the video. This step is going to take a little longer. We already have our opening sentence. Now we need to fill it with the Juicy Middle parts and create a conclusion. Pull out your 5 facts and your introduction sentence. Let's start by writing out our introduction/hook sentence. Do you remember what I wrote? Brrr! I live in Winnipeg! My hook used a sound effect and an exclamation mark. Now I will add my 4 remaining facts. Brrr! I live in Winnipeg! It is a city. It has a meeting place called The Forks. It has 2 main rivers. The main rivers are called the Red and the Assiniboine. Now, I need to come up with an awesome conclusion sentence. I think I will write, Winnipeg is such a COOL place to live! That is actually kind of funny. Notice how I made the word cool all in capitals. That is me showing my voice. It is a cool place to live because it is exciting. It also is a COOL place because it is cold!!!! I like that ending. Now it is your turn. Write out your 4 other facts. Then make a catchy conclusion sentence. Use the anchor chart below to help you come up with a great ending. When you are done writing this on your notes in Seesaw, send it to your teacher by clicking on the green check mark.
