Student Instructions

Read this book at least two days in a row. By the third day, you should be very accurate and sound very fluent (reading smoothly, like talking). arrow Click on the picture of the title page to begin to read the book. Read each page to your parent, babysitter, or an older sibling - if you get stuck on a word, try to make the sounds in the word - if you can’t work it out, your helper can tell you the word after you’ve had a try at it. After you read each page, your helper can ask you the questions at the bottom of each page and talk about those with you. add When you have read the book two or three times, do the activity template (with a recording mic) so I can hear how you sound as you read! OPTIONAL: follow-up task: choose one: 1. Do you have a bike? How does it compare to the bike on page 4 (Bike Parts)? Make a diagram of your own bike, with labels for the parts use the drawing Draw tool on Seesaw OR make the poster on a piece of paper and share this with me by pushing plus the new post button and taking a cameraroll photo (or by making a video video recording in which you show me your diagram and tell me what you have drawn and why.) OR 2. Use note Note to write a story about what you like to do with your bike - where do you ride, how you keep safe etc. OR 3. Make a video (get a sibling or parent to help you) in which you show me your bike and the safety gear you wear, and demonstrate yourself riding your bike.
