The Age of Exploration Unit follows the RENAISSANCE AND REFORMATION in sequence. Following a study of the cultures that already existed in Americas,Asia , Africa , Australia before Europeans arrived, we study the events and ideas leading to the Age of Exploration, its characters and events, and the impact it had on the Native peoples. The goal of this unit is to give students an understanding of the events that led to the formation of the “ new world “ and the lasting effects the Age of Exploration had on our modern world. we are starting with the new unit as you all know ... and this is yourstrating point ... you're a traveller / trader / adventurer / explorer / sailor/ ... EXPLORE YOUR NEW WORLD.
