Compose an Elemental Dance

Grades: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade
Subjects: Music

Student Instructions

Today we will use movement words that have a beat to compose a dance. Tap on the example to the left to see a finished project. Tap add to start your project. 1. Decide which form you'd like to use to structure your dance. Remember, they all have A and B sections meaning two different moves, but there is one form that uses 3. 2. Use label to write the letters of your form in the boxes. 3. After each letter, use label again to write the word you chose from the word wall (make sure it has a strong beat!). 4. Use the mic to describe your dance and count the beats. Example: "March 2 3 4 5 6 7 8..." 5. Press the green check to save and share your work!
