Show what you know about maps and globes! For this activity, you will compare and contrast globes and maps. To compare means to see how things are similar and to contrast means to see how things are different. 1) Click add to begin. 2). Read each statement or push play to have it read to you. Decide if the statement refers to MAPS, GLOBES, or BOTH. Use the move tool to move the statement to the correct spot in the Venn Diagram. 3) Click check to submit. Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This activity should be done after maps and globes have been introduced. I recommend modifying any of the labels to fit the needs of your instruction. You can also record the labels if you have students who would benefit from that. You could also have a sample of a map and a globe on hand to help stimulate thinking.
