We now use km (kilometres) as out unit of measuring long distances. 1. Read or listen to Chapter 3 & 4. 2. Use a converter on the internet to work out: How many km (approximately) is 90 miles? 3. Imagine you have enough petrol in the family car to drive 90 miles from Adelaide (in any direction). 4. Show on a map or record a travel plan to show which towns/cities you might reach. Use any type of map to help you solve this. 5. Show multiple options (in multiple directions) if you want to. 6. Record your mathematical thinking and working out. Upload to SeeSaw.
