ANZAC Poppies

Student Instructions

Read these instructions and have a go at make some Anzac poppies for you to hang around your house or in a tree. Things you need: - Plastic bottles - Sharpies or paint or pastel 🖍🎨 - Tealight (Optional for heating petals to shape the poppy otherwise use scissors) - Scissors ✂️ - String (to hang poppies up) Instructions : Use plastic bottles from your recycling. Chop the bottom of your bottle off (with help from adult). Once you have cut the bottom of the bottle, you then need to shape it to look like a flower. To colour the poppy, chose red for the main part of the flower and black for the center. You can use sharpies, paint or pastels (these will stick best). OPTIONAL: Using a tea light you can shape and melt the flowers. Make sure you have a window open. You can also shape the petals with a pair of scissors as you melt the bottles.
