Teachers, save “English Tuesday - Writing Basic Instruct…” to assign it to your class.

1. Follow the instructions to draw the dog on the first page. 2. Choose one of the images and write your own set of instructions to tell someone how to draw it. Remember your instructions should be short, clear, numbered and start with a bossy verb. 3. Read through your instructions and try to follow them yourself. If they are too difficult, change them. 4. Read the instructions to someone at home so they can draw the image. DO NOT SHOW THEM THE PICTURE. Ask them - Did they find it easy? Were the instructions clear? Did they draw the picture accurately? If they did not, you need to change your instructions so they are easier to follow. 5. Post your work.
