This lesson will help you to learn more about gathering and organising data, displaying data in lists, tables and picture graphs, and interpreting the results. Your task is to: 1. Select a short simple picture book (a home reader woul be perfect). 2. Using the template provided make some predictions about the frequency (how often) letters will appear. 3. On the tally sheet of the template use tally marks to record each letter. Do this for 1 to 3 pages. 4. Create a graph of the ten most frequently used letters on the template provided. 5. Check back with your predictions. Were your predictions correct or close? Were the results what you were expecting?
