Community Rules, Rights and Responsibilities

Grades: 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade
Subjects: Social Studies

Student Instructions

Every community has rules, rights and responsibilities for the people who are in it. These are different for each community. Look at the example to see the rules, rights and responsibilities for a family. Click the add button. Think of a community that you are a part of, and use the label or pencil tool to write its name at the top. Then, use the label or pencil tool to write the rules, rights and responsibilities for that community in the boxes. When you have finished, click the check. Remember that: - A community is a group of people who live, work or play in the same place. - A rule is something that people in a community should follow. - Rights are things that all people deserve. - Responsibilities are things that people should do.
