Student Instructions

Hands-on ✋Activity 1. Observe the thermometer (do not touch the Mercury). 2. Determine the increment scale on the metric side. What is the temperature? 3. Take a video of you touching the Mercury bulb. What happens? Why? 4. Observe the 3 cups of water at the table. 5. Predict their temperature on the data table. 6. Measure the temperature of each cup of water. Record the temperature. Take a picture of each cup (showing the temperature). 7. Investigate what happens when you move from water to water. Take videos of going from cold to hot and hot to cold.
