Important Person - Dress to Impress! (Biography Project)

Student Instructions

In this project, you will record video a video of yourself dressed and acting as your important person to share about their life! 1. Prepare to talk about your important person in 3 parts - childhood, struggles, and contributions. Take notes on pages Page 2 to help you! 2. Find a photograph of your important person. What do they look like? Study their clothes and hairstyle. 3. Time to make your costume! What can you use around your house? Do you have any clothes that look similar to your important person? Can you make your own decorations and accessories out of paper, drawings, pipe cleaner, or any other materials at home? 4. Practice reading your notes about the life of your important person. Practice talking and acting like your person. How do you think they would sound? If your person was very brave, you should stand tall and speak confidently! If your person was caring and kind, make sure that you smile often when you are speaking. Does your person have a famous quote? Try to include one if you can! 5. When you are ready, press the video button on page 3. Take a video of yourself in costuming sharing information about your important person. Your video should be 3 minutes or less. 6. Press the green check when you are proud of your work!
