Student Instructions

The most common fossils are molds and casts. Both copy the shape of ancient organisms. However, trace fossils provide evidence of the activities of ancient organisms 🦕 🦖 1. Using clay, make a fossil of each type (i.e. mold, cast, and trace) 2. Upload a picture of one of your fossil types 3. Add a voice recording to explain the difference between each type of fossil AND explain what scientists can learn from fossils Additional resources: 1. https://youtu.be/ouxnc6Yt5q4 2. https://mothernatured.com/animal-craft-ideas/making-clay-fossils/
