Teachers, save “January STEAM Challenge #1- Splat the Cat” to assign it to your class.

For this activity you will need the January Challenge #1 bag: Splat the Cat. In this bag you will find: -construction paper -2 Straws -2 pipe cleaners -Tape You will also need to find scissors and something around your house that can act as a fake mouse! So it should be small. If you have a cat and have some fake mice toys, those will work perfectly. Some other suggestions of things you could use are a big puff ball, a bouncy ball, a small stone, a small toy. You can get creative on what you will use for your mouse. Once you have gathered your supplies: -Watch the read aloud video of Splat the Cat -Click the -Watch the video instructions on page 1 -After watching, complete the STEAM challenge -On page 2, Make a video of yourself showing us your mouse carrier and showing us that you have passed the challenge by demonstrating that the mouse does not fall out and the handle on the carrier works. -Click the when you are done HAVE FUN AND BE CREATIVE!
