This is an adapted version of Assessment 2 from the 5th Grade Gameplan curriculum book. Have students list the four families of the orchestra and list one instrument from each family. Examples: Strings - violin, viola, cello, bass Woodwinds - piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon Brass - trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba Percussion - xylophone, bass drum, timpani, snare drum, triangle, gong, wood block, etc
