Playdough Fractions

1. 👨‍👩‍👧 With a parent or guardian's approval, follow the simple recipe to make homemade play dough. Recipe: 1 cup of flour 1/4 cup of salt 3/4 cup of warm water 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil Food coloring - optional Step 1 - Measure the flour and salt and mix together in a bowl Step 2 - Add the warm water and a few drops of food coloring (optional) Step 3 - Mix the ingredients together and add the vegetable oil Step 4 - Store in a container or plastic baggie when not using 2. ✋🏽 Using your hands, form the dough into a ball and make into a flat disk like a pizza. 3. 📏 Using a ruler or other straight edge, make lines on your "pizza" to show the following fractions: 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 4. Tap to add to our journal 5. Take a video of your play dough and explain how you made each of the fractions 6. Tap the green check to add to your journal Extensions: Let's double the recipe.
