Read the problem. Use the to record whether the answer is odd or even. Use the to record why you believe the answer is odd or even. Think about the properties that make up an odd or even number and use this knowledge to work out and explain your answer. I will not be accepting answers of, ‘I added them together and it gave me the answer’.
