Art 2.3 | Emotions In Art (Part 3)

Grades: 2nd Grade
Subjects: Art

Student Instructions

Review: Last week you decided on one face showing one emotion. Then you drew in pencil and outlined with black marker. In this last part to our lesson, I will go over how color is a great way of showing mood and emotion in an artwork. 1. Watch --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyHJXlQA4Zg 2. After watching the whole clip, choose the colors that would be right for your drawing. Feel free to use any art supplies to color (crayons, colored pencils, markers, watercolor, oil pastels) You may even use a combination of mediums. Careful though, oil pastels stick to marker tips. So if you were to use that combination, I would use markers first, and then go over it with a pastel layer. 3. Once you finish coloring, take a photo and post. 4. Also reflect on your artwork. (How did you feel about the art process? What did you like?) If you have any further questions, contact your art teacher! Have fun! - Mr. Belonio
