"Body fat often gets a bad rap, but it serves an important purpose. Your body stores the fat from the foods you eat in deposits that can be used for energy, insulation, and protection. Everyone needs some fat to live and function. When too much body fat accumulates, however, it can lead to obesity and obesity-related diseases, like type 2 diabetes and heart disease." Once Ms. McCool reviews the different "pinching sites", and shows an example, you may complete your body fat analysis individually. 2. If you do not complete an analysis individually, please calculate the body fat, of the sample person, provided in class. 3. Answer the questions 4. Submit your assignment, by taking a photo of your completed worksheet, and send through Seesaw. What do the numbers mean? Boys Goal: between 7%-25% Girls Goal: between 13%-32%
