Student Instructions

Learning Intention: Differentiate between rules for school, at home, or rules that apply to both. People often operate under different sets of rules- home rules and schools rules, for example. It is important for you to realise that some rules are appropriate for both settings, and other rules may only apply to a specific situation. You need to be able to understand what you are expected to do in each situation, if the rules are not the same. For example, your parents might be ok with you fighting to settle differences, but fighting is against the rules at school. You must understand that the school rules take priority while at school. Thinking questions: 1. What are some rules that you have to follow at home? 2. What are some school rules? 3. Are there any rules that are the same for both places? 4. Can you think of some rules that might be different? 5. Why do you think there are so many rules? Directions: Determine whether the rules are a Home rule or School rule. Some rules might be both, so think carefully!
