Instructions for Pupils

Using Google Sites, create a promotional website to encourage tourists to visit your hometown. Begin by visiting other official tourism websites for famous locations to generate ideas for your website. Then, create a website for your hometown that teaches viewers about its uniqueness and encourages them to travel there. Include at least 5 of the topics below. All pages should be in your own words and contain a balance of media. Make sure you explore all the features of Google Sites so you can create the greatest interactive experience. Teacher Notes (not visible to pupils)

Create a sample website using some of the basic features of Google Sites. Encourage students to explore and try all the features before creating their website. Wireframing is also a great beginning activity. When students publish, they have the option to change who can view their website.
