Student Instructions

Hi Artists! Today we will continue exploring the world of sculpture. In this lesson I will be going over how to make a cute clay penguin. 1. Watch the video https://youtu.be/x8_dczedc2I 2. Take out your clay and other clay tools you have available and start FORMING your sculpture by following the steps in the video. 3. Post a picture of your work here on Seesaw. Sculpture Definition - the action or art of making statues by carving or chiseling (as in wood or stone), by modeling (as in clay), or by casting (as in melted metal). Three-Dimensional (3-D) Form - A 3D shape can be defined as a solid figure or an object or shape that has three dimensions – length, width and height. Unlike two-dimensional shapes, which are flat, three-dimensional shapes have thickness or depth. Have fun and MAY THE ARTS BE WITH YOU! Mr. Belonio
