Student Instructions

LI: To be able to identify the features of a 3D Shape. SC: I will be able to recognise the faces, edges and vertices in 3D Shapes. What you need to do: 1. Have a look at 'Image 1 and 2'. Have a look around the room you are in and see if you can recognise an item that is one or more of these 3D Shapes. Hint: You might see a cube (dice), or sphere (ball) or even rectangular prism (tissue box). 2. Watch the following two videos to find out what a faces, edges and vertices are. 'Image 3 and 4' will support your understanding, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-QwWFkz5hw&t=143s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPrVAT_x1f4 3. Using the photos you took yesterday of the objects you found on your 3D Shape hunt, you are going to create a Keynote Presentation (or Book Creator or an app that you are familiar with). You are going to have a slide for each photo (object) and you can draw on the photos that you have taken. You will need to show where the faces, edges and vertices are on your 3D Shapes. I have completed one example for you. Do as many as you can! 4. Upload your presentation to Seesaw.
