At Recess, some of us saw two Northern Mockingbirds on the chain link fence, dropping down to the ground to stir up some insects to eat. They were halfway spreading their wings as if to make themselves bigger! We learned that to observe birds in their natural habitat, doing what they do naturally, you must: 1) be quiet 2) keep your distance, 3) be still or move slowly. Here is a great website to see photographs, listen to bird sounds, and learn as much as you can about the Birds in Your Neighborhood! https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Northern_Mockingbird A. Draw a Northern Mockingbird and color it with colored pencils B. Label your drawing with a Title, Parts of a Bird, and Text Boxes to teach others what you learned. C. Take a photo of your Finished Work D. Submit it to this SeeSaw assignment.
