Storytelling- Writing Out Your Story

Grades: 1st Grade, 2nd Grade
Subjects: Writing

Student Instructions

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 Yesterday, you told a story your "Once upon a time story," with the child in the clouds. Today you will write out your story, using a similar organizer. Since you already have a voice recording of your story it will hopefully be easier to write out the sentences. Instructions: 1. Review your work from yesterday. 2. You can use paper or print off this organizer by clicking the student template and then "view original". OR If you would rather type it in SeeSaw then tap add and you will be inside the template. Use label to type your story up. 3. Check your work using these success criteria: - I used a capital letter at the start of each sentence - I used punctuation at the end of each sentence - I put a capital at the beginning of any names or "I" - I checked my spelling over - My writing makes sense 4. If you used paper you will need to add this to your journal by clicking plus then photo or upload then check to add to your journal. OR If you typed your work inside this activity simply click check to save your work to your journal. 👨‍👧 The Why: This task helps students with their writing as they are writing out what they have previously said. If you can say it you can write it, if you can write it, you can read it!
