Student Instructions

In this lesson we are looking at changing our word choice when we write from general to specific. Specific means something is "clearly" defined for us. We want to start taking out some of those general, "boring" words, such as went, nice, big, and make them specific, helping to paint a clear image in the readers mind. 1. Click the plus response button. 2. Read the sentence provided. 3. highlighter the general word. 4. pen three lines down and use the label tool to add three specific words of your choice. 5. pen circle the BEST specific word, out of the three you wrote, that makes this sentence the most clear for the reader. 6. mic record your reasoning "I chose the word ____ because it ..." 7. Have FUN!
