In this lesson we are looking at changing our word choice when we write from general to specific. Specific means something is "clearly" defined for us. We want to start taking out some of those general, "boring" words, such as went, nice, big, and make them specific, helping to paint a clear image in the readers mind. 1. Click the response button. 2. Read the sentence provided. 3. the general word. 4. three lines down and use the tool to add three specific words of your choice. 5. circle the BEST specific word, out of the three you wrote, that makes this sentence the most clear for the reader. 6. record your reasoning "I chose the word ____ because it ..." 7. Have FUN!
