Individually or with a partner, create an aerial mappa showing: • Fiumi (rivers) • Montagne (mountains) • Pozze d'acqua (waterholes) • Boscaglia (bushland) • Habitat degli animali (animal habitats) Think about: • Dove scorre l'acqua (where water flows) • Luoghi sicuri (safe places) • Movimento degli animali (animal movement) • Importanti punti di riferimento naturali (important natural landmarks)

Teacher Notes (not visible to pupils)

This activity explores how climate and geographical location influence the land, plants, animals, and the ways Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have cared for Country for thousands of years. Ensure students understand that this activity is inspired by Aboriginal art and storytelling traditions and are not replicas of sacred symbols or specific cultural designs. Where possible, consult local Aboriginal community resources and include local perspectives.
