At Recess, some of us saw several Black-crested Titmice in the Live Oak trees near the playground. They were flitting around from branch to branch, and whistling very high notes. We learned that to observe birds in their natural habitat, doing what they do naturally, you must: 1) be quiet 2) keep your distance, 3) be still or move slowly.
