Today we will use area models to decompose fractions into sums of fractions with the same denominator in more than one way. We will create tape diagrams to represent fractions and then break down different ways to arrive at the sum of the tape diagram fractional amount. First we will complete the teacher slide together and then you will complete the student template slides on your own. 1.Use the shapes tool to create tape diagrams 2. Use the label shapes and or pen tool to create equations that add up to the fraction 3. Complete each slide 4. Review the examples if need be 5. WOW work? 6. check when done
