The word gratitude is is derived from the Latin word gratia, which means grace, graciousness, or gratefulness. Gratitude is the quality of being thankful and showing appreciation and kindness. Many studies show that having gratitude leads to greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, persevere through challenges, and build stronger relationships.
