Remember our story problem routine at school. 1. Read the story problem and visualize the story in your head. 2. Retell the Story. 3. Will the answer be more or less than what you started with? 4. Talk to someone at home about what you think the answer will be. 5. Use the template to draw a picture that shows your thinking. 6. Show your work using ten frames and/or the number line. 7. Write your number sentence/equation, don't forget to use a mystery box for the unknown number. 8. Write your answer in the last box.
