Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This activity introduces Seesaw tools and gives students practice opportunities including a partner video recording. Prepare a simple consent reminder for students: ask their partner, “Can we record together?” and model one short practice video first. For the partner activity, students only need a device with a camera and a quiet spot. High-quality student responses: For the video task, a high-quality answer shows the student speaking clearly, using the camera confidently, and sharing one specific thing they look forward to in 5th grade. For the partner reflection, look for polite exchange, turn-taking, and a short description of what each student learned about using the video tool. Teachers may mark open-ended responses as correct/incorrect based on whether students followed directions and demonstrated the required skill.
