Genius Hour 8- Research

Today, you will continue to research your topic. Complete the following steps: 1. Click on the link to watch the video and listen to the story, "Stella: Queen of the Snow." Think about each of the questions Sam asks. Are they good Genius Hour type questions? Why or why not? 2. Oftentimes, research brings up more questions than answers. That's a good thing because it deepens your research and helps you to learn even more. Be sure to not only record your answers but also your questions. If you are using the attached template, these would be recorded in the Wonder section. If you are using your journal, perhaps you want to dedicate a page to nothing but questions. 3. Review your notes from yesterday and choose a new resource to explore or continue with a previous one. Links to these resources can be found on our district and class Clever page. 4. Complete the "See Think Wonder" template attached, or simply take notes in your journal, or another notebook. (*Do not copy facts directly from your source. Put them into your own words.) 5. Feel free to use any of the creative tools in Seesaw to also share something interesting you learned, ask a question, ask for advice, or share a resource/tip/trick you discovered that the rest of us may not know about. *The research phase takes the most time. Don't rush! Look at multiple resources because you will learn new things from each. When you are done with your research, you should be an expert on your topic. 👀
