Student Instructions

There are lots of different ways to add numbers together to find a total. In today's activity, you will work move set of partners into the correct Partner Houses. Click this link to watch an example of this activity: Read, Listen, or Watch the instructions. Click add to begin your activity. On page 1, use the move tool in seesaw to put each set of addition partners in the correct Partner House. On page 2, use the label to make your own partner sets for the totals given. Put as many addition partner sets under each total as you can. On page 3, stretch your thinking! Use the label to put a new total at the top of each Partner House. Use the label to write partner sets that go with your new totals. Put at least 3 addition partner sets under each total, or really stretch your thinking by finding more. Be sure to double check your work. When you are all finished, click the check to turn in your activity. 👩‍👧‍👦 Family Why: When students know their basic facts within 10, they are able to be more fluent in solving challenging equations. The basic facts within 10 can be applied to the larger problems using place value understanding.
